I recently created a gum ad poster with a photo I took myself of a gum packet. Using Photoshop, I edited the poster and created a splash effect for the gum, this effect gives the poster a dynamic feel. I had to fit the required copy within the coupon cut outs with corresponding gum packets for each, so I had to brainstorm how to layout my content. I wanted to achieve balance in the design to ensure that the text and images were properly aligned and proportionate. The use of negative space helps to emphasize the gum packet’s splash effect and creates a clean, uncluttered overall look. In the end I was really happy with how this advertisement came out.
